Job Description
Responsible For
Installing Cavity Wall and Loft insulation into domestic/commercial properties
Main Duties
- To load insulation material on to company owned vehicle and to drive to and from various sites to carry out insulation works.
- To drill holes to specified drill pattern (through breeze block internally if new build property) and through mortar joints externally on existing, occupied properties, working off ladders or other access equipment.
- To fill hopper (observing safety regulations) with compressed packs of mineral fibre.
- To “blow” shredded mineral fibre through hose and nozzle, into pre-drilled holes to achieve a full and complete fill of the cavity.
- To re-point drilled holes on exterior of property to match original mortar as closely as possible.
- To clean brick dust off windowsills, pathways etc. and to sweep up and clear away any other debris i.e. brick Chipping’s and fibre, from occupied properties and to remove all packaging from site.

- To attend and pass ACOPs and CSCS training/tests as required, in order to carry out the above duties.
- To load roof space with the required amount of insulation rolls in readiness to insulate the loft
- To access loft with ladders and light provided by the company, first placing dustsheets and taking extra care not to cause unnecessary disturbance, debris or damage
- To fit draft proofing insulation material to all specified areas, to meet the relevant specifications
- Make sure that insulation is correctly fitted and all debris and equipment (including any excess/waste material and packaging ) is removed from the property, prior to the completion of all paperwork and before leaving the property/site
- Ensure that all relevant paperwork is completed correctly, in a legible manner and is return it to the Depot/Department on a daily basis (if practicable)
- To correctly install and complete tachographs (if in charge of a 7.5 ton vehicle) and to hand them in on a weekly basis.
- To adhere to any reasonable instruction/s given, either verbally or paperwork by Mark Group Ltd, your line manager/supervisor/TMO or person nominated by the company or Agent
- To treat all customer and clients of Mark Group with professional and courtesy, and their property with due care.
- Strictly adhere to all Health and Safety procedures and ensure that the working environment is practical for both yourself and others
- And any other reasonable duties commensurate with the post, which may be allocated from time to time.

This is a physical job that requires you to work outside in all weathers. You'll need a head for heights as working up ladders is a fundamental part of the job, you must also be able to work in confined spaces (lofts). Prepared to work away from home as and when required Is required to undergo a Criminal Reference Check & a DVLA check |
