Job Description

The Role:

Ensuring that your Depot/Department is reaching its optimum potential and that excellent customer service is being delivered whilst adhering to stringent health and safety requirements. Provide coaching and guidance to Technicians.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

• Line management responsibility of up to 15 fitting teams
o Management of training requirements
o Absence management
o Holiday management
o Assist with recruitment
o Proactively deal with any employment relations issues in conjunction with the HR Department and in line with company and legal procedures

• Maintaining productivity levels of their teams
o Liaising with Branch support teams

• Health and Safety
o Ensure that fitting teams are fully aware of and comply with H&S requirements
o Ensure all fitting staff have the necessary protective clothing and that all such items are accounted for and used.
o PUWER inspections
o Access equipment inspections
o Vehicle handovers

• Quality
o Work in progress inspections
o Post completion inspections

• Conducting TMO Inspections

• New Build site visits

• Pre contract meetings

• Deal with any complaints received in a professional, courteous and timely manner and in line with company procedures

• Managing to objectives
o Carry out performance reviews of fitting teams, keep records and review progress

• Client relationship management

• Updating company systems

• Delivering team briefs

• Flexible approach to working hours

• Ensure all associated administration duties are carried out in line with company procedures

• Ensure that a professional and courteous approach is adopted at all times

• Strictly adhere to all Health and Safety procedures and ensure that the working environment is practical for both yourself and others

• Any other reasonable duties commensurate with the post, which may be allocated from time to time.

 

 

Requirements

Work Experience
e.g. previous experience required to do the job
Previous experience of dealing with the general public and delivering service that exceeds expectation

Proven experience on leading, managing, motivating and developing a diverse team

Knowledge and understanding of the insulation industry
Dealing with customer and employment issues
Education & Qualification
e.g. academic or professional qualifications
Educated to a minimum of GCSE/O Level standard

Qualified by Previous Experience

Full Driving Licence
H&S – IOSH/NEBOSH

NVQ Level 2 or above in customer service, customer care, supervision etc

Fork Lift Truck Licence
Skills/Abilities
e.g. analytical skills, computer skills
Excellent customer relations skills

Ability to work to stringent quality targets

Strong time management

Organised

Strong interpersonal communication skills

Excellent people management ability

Ability to work under pressure
