Job Description
You will be responsible for providing a comprehensive HR service to include disciplinary and grievances, performance management, policies and procedures, employee relations, recruitment and selection
Main Duties / Responsibilities:
Under the guidance of the HR Manager you will provide advice to managers on the day to day operational HR queries (counselling/ discipline/ grievance/flexible working/individual redundancy/absence management/ performance management etc.) via telephone, e-mail and face-to-face communication and recommend a course of action within company policy/procedure/best practice and prevailing employment legislation.
Attend Depots as required to provide support and guidance in HR-related areas and to follow through on key HR activities
Coordinate and contribute towards ad hoc projects as directed by the HR Manager
Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with all internal and external customers to enable a visible, proactive, challenging and consultancy approach
Work with managers and staff in developing an effective service by use of mediation skills, to offer a proactive service to resolve issues informally
• Interpreting and advising on employment legislation
• Attend and support manager at disciplinary, grievance and appeal meetings etc
• Assist with the implementation of the HRIS system
• Assist line managers with the recruitment and selection of staff and ensure that the recruitment and selection process is successful
• Production of weekly/monthly management information
• Demonstrate awareness and understanding of equal opportunities and other peoples behavioural, physical, social and welfare needs
• Flexible approach to working hours
• Ensure all associated administration duties are carried out in line with company procedures
• Ensure that a professional and courteous approach is adopted at all times
• Strictly adhere to all Health and Safety procedures and ensure that the working environment is practical for both yourself and others
• And any other reasonable duties commensurate with the post, which may be allocated from time to time.

Having worked in a similar industry would be an advantage |
