Job Description

The Role:

Installing solar thermal hot water systems and air source heat pumps into residential and commercial properties.

Main Duties

  • To install solar hot water and air source heat pumps to manufactures specifications BS/EN 12975 Part 1/2 relevant legislation
  • To install electrical works in conjunction with the installations within H&S guidelines and Part ‘P’ Electrical regulations
  • Complete all relevant paperwork as per specifications set out by The Mark Group and system designers
  • Communicate effectively with the Leicester Head Office support team and where applicable the relevant branch manager
  • Strictly adhere to all Health & Safety procedures and that the working environment is practical for both yourself and others.
  • Drive to and from various sites across the UK to carry out installation work
  • Ensure vehicles are kept clean, maintained to the required standard and daily/weekly checks are carried out as per company procedures
  • Treat all clients of Mark Group with courtesy, and their property with due care
  • Ensure that a professional and courteous approach is adapted at all times
  • Flexible approach to working hours
  • Show a commitment to environmental issues
  • Liaise in a courteous manner with all company clients and customers
  • Provide guidance, support and instruction for trainee technicians who may work within your team when required
  • And any other reasonable duties commensurate with the post, which may be allocated from time to time

Requirements

Specification Essential Desirable
Work Experience
e.g. previous experience required to do the job
Proven experience of service within the Plumbing & Heating industry

Previous experience of dealing with the general public

Knowledge or experience of renewable energy

Experience of working within customer premises
Education & Qualification
e.g. academic or professional qualifications
NVQ level 3 in plumbing and heating

Educated to minimum GCSE level or equivalent

C.C.N.1

Field Experience required

Full and current Driving Licence
NVQ in Customer Service, Customer Care or equivalent

Gas Safe Registered

Electrical qualification

Experience of system fault finding
Skills/Abilities
e.g. analytical skills, computer skills
Able to organise and prioritise

Excellent customer service skills

Effective communication skills

Able to work under pressure

Excellent attention to detail
