Job Description
Responsible For
Installing solar thermal technology into commercial and domestic properties in line with all relevant company, manufactures and legal requirements.
Main Duties
- To install solar thermal hot water systems to manufactures specifications BS/EN 12975 Part 1/2 relevant legislation
- To install electrical works in conjunction with the installations within H&S guidelines and Part ‘P’ Electrical regulations
- Complete all relevant paperwork as per specifications set out by The Mark Group and system designers
- Ensure that the company vehicle is kept stocked with relevant products and kept in a clean, tidy and roadworthy condition; report any defect in line with company reporting procedures
- Ensure that all machinery is kept in good working order and that any defects are reported in line with company reporting procedures
- Drive to and from various sites across the UK to carry out installation work
- Clear away all packaging and any other debris on a daily basis leaving the property in a clean and tidy condition
- Correctly install and complete tachographs (if in charge of a 7.5 ton vehicle) and to hand them in on a weekly basis
- Treat all clients of Mark Group with courtesy, and their property with due care
- Strictly adhere to all Health and Safety procedures and ensure that the working environment is practical for both yourself and others
- Ensure that a professional and courteous approach is adapted at all times.
Flexible approach to working hours - Communicate effectively with the Leicester head office support team and were applicable the relevant Branch Manager
- Show a commitment to environmental issues
- Liaise in a courteous manner with all company clients and customers
- Provide guidance, support and instruction for trainee technicians who may work within your team when required
- And any other reasonable duties commensurate with the post, which may be allocated from time to time
Requirements

NVQ level 2 in plumbing and heating, customer service, customer care or equivalent Level 2/3 NVQ in Customer Service, Customer Care or equivalent Class 'C1' Licence Health & Safety Qualification |

Flexibility in working hours Be required to work away from home as and when the job dictates This is a physical job that requires you to work outside in all weathers. You'll need a head for heights as working up ladders is a fundamental part of the job, you must also be able to work in confined spaces (lofts) Prepared to work away from home as and when required Is required to undergo a Criminal Reference Check & a DVLA check |
