Job Description

The Role

Selling a variety of energy saving solution products, matching customer requirements and identifying new business, by means of accurate technical assessments of properties.

Main Duties / Responsibilities:

Training/Development:

  • Undertake any training requirements for the role.
  • Attend monthly 1:1 with Area Team Leader.

Organising/Planning:

  • Set daily route plan to accommodate diarised appointments.

Customer Care:

  • Attend diarised appointments promptly.
  • Ensure ID badge is displayed.
  • Maintain high standard of appearance i.e. company tie, clean shaven etc
  • Be polite, professional and courteous at all times.
  • Be an ambassador for the company.

Selling:

  • Follow the ‘Sales Track’ with every client.
  • Match customer requirements
  • Identify new business potential
  • Explain features and benefits of various products
  • Handle objections
  • Close the sale

Targets/Standards:

  • Achieve set targets (see min standards)

Health & Safety:

  • A company Health and Safety induction will be provided for each individual.
  • Property specific risk assessments are to be carried out for every cavity wall survey by completing correct paperwork and taking photos of each elevation of the property, paying particular attention to areas with difficult access.

Technical Assessment:

The property will be accurately assessed for product suitability, the survey will entail:

Cavity Wall survey:

  • A visual inspection of the wall condition both internally (using boroscope) and externally.
  • Checking for ventilation in accordance to A.C.O.P.S. and C.I.G.A. requirements.
  • Accurately measuring the wall area to be insulated.
  • Calculating total wall area to be insulated for each property.
  • Identifying and recording any access equipment needed.
  • Correctly recording all survey details on correct paperwork.
  • Pricing the survey according to correct scheme and house type / size.

Loft survey:

  • Checking for loft access requirements and hatch size.
  • Checking and identifying ventilation requirements.
  • Checking minimum working loft height requirements.
  • Accurately measuring and recording insulation thickness.
  • Identifying what measures are needed to get each property up to the required standard.
  • Checking and measuring pipe work and cold water tanks for lagging requirements.
  • Pricing the survey according to correct scheme and house type / size.
  • Correctly recording all survey details on correct paperwork.

Any technical issues will be brought to the customer’s attention, with correct advice being given at survey stage.

Job Specification

Reporting/Communication:

  • Keep a detailed report for pipeline management.
  • Call Area Team Leader for morning up brief.
  • Call Area Team Leader for evening debrief and report daily KPI’s.
  • Take ownership of delivering receipts and expense claims at the agreed timescales.
  • Ensure all paperwork is delivered accurately for process, complete with photo card, twice weekly.

Miscellaneous:

  • You will need a flexible approach to working hours.
  • Other reasonable duties commensurate with the role may be allocated when necessary.
  • You will be required to complete a CRB check.
