AGA Rangemaster Partners with Energy Saving Specialist, Mark Group
Monday 10 January 2011
AGA Rangemaster – which manufactures some of the UK’s best known and loved kitchen appliances – has partnered with Mark Group, the leading energy saving specialist, to bring renewable heat and power to the home under the AGA Rayburn Home Energy Management banner.
The two leaders in applying renewable energy thinking in a domestic context have come together in a three year partnership agreement which will see solar thermal and solar PV systems added to the AGA Rayburn Home Energy Management line up and promoted to AGA Rangemaster customers, for specification and installation by Mark Group.
Solar thermal systems, which will be supplied by Kingspan, are particularly attuned to Rayburn Heatranger – the Group’s cast-iron combined boiler cooker collection while solar PV is a partner to electric AGA cookers. The timely announcement also means that customers will not only benefit from the highest Feed-In Tariff rate, but also the anticipated Renewable Heat Incentive.
Richard Eagleton, Group Marketing Director at AGA Rangemaster Group, said: “Renewables have been central to our thinking for a number of years now, and with heightened consumer fears over rising energy costs and shortages, our partnership with Mark Group is timely in our bid to help our customers to reduce their dependency on fossil fuels and achieve a greater degree of fuel independence.”
John Major, Mark Group Divisional Head, added: “It is a privilege to work in partnership with such a highly regarded Company as AGA Rangemaster. This agreement demonstrates a serious commitment to achieving energy efficiency in the homeowner market and working together, we will deliver a first class product and service to homeowners.”
The renewable energy systems are showcased at the AGA Rayburn Home Energy Management Centre in Kidderminster, with a specialist team on hand to answer trade enquiries. Customer orders will be serviced through Mark Group’s 15 distribution centres, nationwide.
