Kitemark for Mark Group

Tuesday 30 November 2010

The British Standards Institution (BSI) has awarded leading energy-saving installer Mark Group the prestigious international quality standard ISO9001, meaning the company can now use the widely recognised BSI Kitemark throughout its business operations.

A registered certification mark owned and awarded by BSI, the Kitemark, and ISO 9001, are symbols of trust, integrity and quality. Mark Group has proved through months of hard work and auditing procedures that quality is at the heart of its business and as a result, its nationwide installation activities have been awarded this highly respected accreditation.

Leaving no stone unturned, Mark Group’s business operations were audited over a 20 day period by the British Standards Institution. The audits covered the company’s entire national operation and its full scope of work, across cavity wall, loft and solid wall insulation, as well as renewable power generation.

Kevin Cook is Mark Group’s Health and Safety Director and played a key role in the auditing process. He said: “We currently install around 6,000 energy-saving measures into domestic properties every week, so it’s crucially important to us that quality standards are maintained throughout every job.

“This accreditation proves that quality and quantity can go hand in hand and not only demonstrates our commitment to continually improving our operational processes, but also to delivering the best possible standard of workmanship for our customers.”

Mark Group was also recently awarded certification under the Carbon Emissions Measurements and Reduction Scheme (CEMARS). This was in recognition of its current greenhouse gas emissions and ongoing commitment to managing and reducing levels in future business activities.
