Additional £35 million for LCBP phase 2
Wednesday 01 July 2009
From 1st July 2009, Low Carbon Buildings Programme (LCBP) Phase Two will receive an additional £35 million of funding.
This sees the current programme extended from July 2009 to April 2011. The programme will be open to all products and installer companies registered on the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS).
We are the only multi-technology, multi-site accredited installer under the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) for the LCBP Phase 2.
This funding is available to support microgeneration technologies for charitable organisations, community groups and the public sector including housing associations and local authorities.
The accredited technologies are:
- Solar Photovoltaic (Electricity – Lighting, Appliances)
- Solar Thermal (Hot water – showers, swimming pools)
- Ground Source Heat Pumps (Hot water – space heating)
- Air Source Heat Pumps (Hot water – showers, swimming pools
The upper limit for heat technologies will be raised to 300kW.
Organisations may apply for up to 50% of the cost of installing approved technologies up to a maximum of £200,000 (though maximum grant levels may depend on the nature of the organisation).
If you have any forthcoming projects which could benefit from this funding, then please contact Ian Gilbert in our dedicated LCBP Team on 0800 616 302.
