Cabinet Minister Inspects Milestone Installation
Patricia Hewitt, Secretary of State for Health and MP for Leicester West attended the installation of the company’s 1,000,000th home insulation measure at a house within her constituency.

Interesting
“It was extremely interesting” commented M/s Hewitt “to assist in making a typical UK house more energy efficient. As local MP I welcome the substantial savings in cost that constituents can make on their energy bills, by sensible insulation. I also appreciate the warmer and healthier homes that can be achieved for pensioners, the very young, and those unwell. I support the reduced pollution, such as less carbon released into the atmosphere, and by the reduced need to use gas, electricity and oil”.

Chief Executive
Lee Cottingham, Chief Executive of Mark, welcomed the visit of Patricia Hewitt, saying “Most insulation of domestic premises is inexpensive due to subsidies and grants. So far we have helped householders to save over £200 million and avoided one million tonnes of carbon being released into the atmosphere. We are very pleased to work with Government on these vital causes”.
