Friday 12 September 2008
The UK’s largest energy efficiency installer, the Mark Group has announced its ‘in good shape’ to deliver Gordon Brown’s energy efficiency targets.
The Leicester based Mark Group – the UK’s leading energy efficiency whole house solutions company – has welcomed the Government’s announcement to provide a £1 billion state backed programme, The Home Energy Saving Programme, to improve household energy efficiency. With the capital to fund the scheme coming from the energy companies measures include providing free cavity wall and loft insulation to the the 70s and other vulnerable groups and big discounts on insulation for everyone else.
Mark Group has applauded the decision and as the UK’s largest installer is in great shape to deliver the Government’s plan, having already insulated almost one and half million homes across the UK. With 14 regional depots already in place across the UK, Mark Group are confident they can play a leading role in making UK homes more energy efficient.
Bill Rumble, Commercial Director at Mark Group, said: “We welcome the Government’s package of measures announced today and see this as an important recognition of the role insulation and other energy saving measures can play in reducing domestic energy bills.
“We all need to go the extra green mile on home energy efficiency, taking a whole house approach to making our homes more energy efficient.
“At the Mark Group we are committed to helping householders with free advice and assistance from our teams of energy efficiency experts.”
In relation to insulation, Mark Group are set to reveal a revolutionary new solution to householder insulation dilemmas focused on whether a home has insulation or has enough insulation in the property. In order to address this the Mark Group is soon to launch a revolutionary new surveying system where each piece of equipment can survey thousands of homes per day and assess a property’s insulation needs.
Today’s announcements are nothing new to Mark Group, with the company having offered free insulation to the over 70s since the start of the year and providing advice and assistance to householders in accessing grants and funding for energy efficiency home improvements. They have also this year opened a new green ‘training academy’ dedicated to training 1,000 new energy efficiency installers, who will facilitate the energy efficiency transformation of millions of homes across the UK.
With the whole house approach offered by Mark Group, impressive savings can be made on domestic energy use and bills with benefits to the customer’s wallet and the planet.
